Critical Issue Alert: Honeywell Experion R431 Erroneous Writes Issue
This is a general Honeywell Experion R431 bug affecting all users including Interface Dynamics users. Our testing has discovered a bug that occurs with the HSC.Table Scroll event in Experion R431. One failure mode that has been determined can write erroneous setpoints or outputs if SP Tolerance or OP Tolerance is being used.
For any standard alphanumeric if the SP Tolerance or OP Tolerance callout is being displayed and a Table is scrolled either manually or programmatically, an erroneous value will be written to the SP or OP of the controller currently displaying the callout. This issue is applicable to both Interface Dynamics users and non-Interface Dynamics users.
For users of Interface Dynamics (versions prior to 184.108.40.206830), the internal (background) functionality will periodically (30 seconds after page load, and 5 minutes thereafter) scroll a table, causing the callout to close, and initiating the SP/OP write as described above. All Interface Dynamics users using or in the process of migrating to Experion R431, need to upgrade to Interface Dynamics 220.127.116.11830. While version 18.104.22.168830 does not eliminate the issue, it will reduce the likelihood of its occurrence for Interface Dynamics users.
If you need the new version or would like to receive updates on this issue, please reply and we will keep you informed as to the available work arounds and availability of eventual station patch from Honeywell.
